Here are some pictures of my garden starting in April, 2006 showing the area inside the fence. I now have four beds, three 4'x4' and one 10'x18" and one large portable pot of spearmint in this area. Click on the pictures below for full sized versions. The items planted in each bed are explained below the photos.
BED ''A''
This bed has four squares of Spinach (36 plants) at the top left, four squares of Kohlrabi (36 plants)
at the top right, 4 squares of herbs (Thyme, Sage, Parsley & Oregano) at the bottom left, four squares
of Brussells Sprouts at the bottom right, and 16 plants of Sugar Snap Peas planted near the trellis in
the top four squares.
BED ''B''
This bed has four squares of Spinach (36 plants) at the top left, four squares of Cilantro (36 plants)
at the top right, 4 squares of Radishes (1 square planted every 2 weeks) at the bottom left, four squares
of Brussells Sprouts at the bottom right, and 16 plants of Sugar Snap Peas planted near the trellis in
the top four squares.
BED ''C''
This long bed is without physical dividers. In the top half, there are 80 Red Onions and 3 Cauliflower plants.
In the bottom half there are 80 White Onions and 3 Broccoli plants. In the very center there are 2 Basil plants
and 2 Dillweed plants yet to sprout. All along the left edge are 12 Okra plants yet to sprout.
BED ''D''
This bed has two groups of four squares combined into larger 2'x2' planting areas.
In the top left area there are 9 plants of Cauliflower and in the lower left area there
are 9 plants of Broccoli. In the top right four squares there are 36 plants of Spinach not yet sprouted.
In the bottom right 4 squares there are 3 squares of Leaf Lettuce and 1 square of Mustard.
